A Light Shining in Darkness

That is the name of a unique .45 pistol, and one I will someday own, although it will be several years. One thing I must say is that the color is wrong, it actually would be nickel plated and rather shiny, not dull and scratched. It's a lot of custom work and will be about $2000, but I think it will be worth it. There are two pictures because the two sides of the gun have different engravings. If anyone wants to know what it says, read John 1:5 in the Bible, or just ask me, you lazy bums.

What does it say?

The entire verse is, "The light shoneth in the darkness, and the darkness comprehendeth it not." The point where the comma is is where it splits on the two sides of the gun, the first part being on the right side, and the second being on the left. I plan on getting it hand engraved to make sure it looks good. It's probably going to be at least 5 years before I get it, but it will be amazing when I do.
