Any spoilers will need a spoiler tag please.

Anyways, I think romances are a big part of the game. Well not big but kind of important. It just adds more depth of the game and connects the player with character/s.

Mass Effect 1 Romances

Can remain faithful to previous Mass Effect 1 Romance

In should be noted that in Mass Effect 3 it has been reported that there will be homosexual romance options.

I believe that Ashley I love you is my favorite romance option overall and in ME2 Jack. I haven't played as a FemShep so I can't really comment on that.

Ok Tali isn't the most boring character (she was in ME1 though). She is rather boring though....they gave her some character in ME2.

Well, I never had a chance to play FemShep, but I've seen videos of the scenes.
Ashley- I liked her in two conversations- one about her past, and the romance scene. Everywhere else I wanted her to just shut up.
Miranda- Pretty neutral. She's less annoying than Ashley was, but still annoying, but has nice characterization in her loyalty mission/courting scenes.
Jack- oooh, the psycho has a soft side and is hiding pain behind her anger facade? She's a walking cliche more so than Miranda, and the fact that I dislike her design doesn't help. Plus I keep expecting someone to walk in on me while I'm in a scene with her and ask, "what the hell are you playing?!"
Tali- I like her the best, but I don't get the fanboy-ism for her. She was a pretty flat character in ME1. Still, I do like her in ME2.

From What I've seen
Kaiden- A bland character. Plus it irritates me that it's not pronounced kai-den, like you'd expect, it's pronounced kay-den.
Jacob- The only male human option in ME2. Decent, if you ignore the meme he spawned.
Garrus- Great, if only because every single conversation seems to be 40% awkward silence
Thane- Another slightly cliched character, he's done okay enough. I just don't like listening to him.
